SUMMARY

 

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in control theory and signal processing. 

University Teaching Experience - Graduate and Under Graduate Electrical Engineering courses (Circuits, Adv. Math, Linear Systems, Digital Control) 

Industry experience included electronic hardware design, control and guidance system analysis and medical electronics hardware and software. 

Experience in design and implementation of signal processing, closed loop control, Kalman Filtering and pattern recognition algorithms.

 Computer programming languages used include, C/C++, MATLAB on Sun workstation and P.C.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

 

Automated ECG arrhythmia detection system using K-L transforms.

Life threatening arrhythmia detector based on sequential hypotheses testing algorithm.  

Algorithms for vital signs monitors including:

·         Invasive pressure measurement including IIR and FIR digital filter design.

·         Non-invasive-blood-pressure prediction and smoothing algorithm using Kalman Filter. Two patents for this design.

·         Closed loop PI digital controller for control of cuff pressure.

·         Algorithm for synchronous detection of pressure pulses using ECG synchronization.

·         Algorithm for detection of using an FFT.
